Master Management: Resident May Have Delayed Main Gate

CVE Reporter

CVE Master Management says the efforts of one resident may be responsible for delaying the start of the main gate project. CVE Master Management Board of Directors President Eli Okunreleased a video addressing delays in the demolition and reconstruction of the main gate. Okun stated that the project, which was originally set to begin in January, was postponed due to new requirements from the city. These new steps may have been triggered, in part, according to Okun, by the actions of at least one resident who contacted the city just before work was scheduled to start.

According to Okun, the resident, who has not been publicly identified, has a history of opposition to the project. CVE Master Management said he contacted the city multiple times.Okun said it was after these interactions that the contractor received notice from the city requiring additional steps before the project could proceed.

In his statement, Okun expressed frustration, noting that the process of obtaining permits for the main gate project has been a "Herculean task," with challenges coming not only from city requirements but also from some members of the community who have worked to block progress.

“Our contractor assured Master Management the project would begin in January,” Okun explained. “We relied on this assurance when we announced a start date to the Village. Unfortunately, unexpected roadblocks have forced the contractor to backtrack on that timeline.”

Okun apologized for the delay and for any confusion caused by the initial announcement of the start date. He acknowledged that the situation has strained the credibility of CVE Master Management but reaffirmed the board’s commitment to transparency and progress.

“The buck stops with Master Management,” he said. “We are the ones responsible for operations, and we are the ones you rely on for accurate information in our Village.”

Okun emphasized that the intent is to begin work as soon as the new requirements are met. A revised start date will be announced once all permits and steps are in place.

Despite the delays, Okun assured residents that the main gate project will ultimately be a “beautiful addition” to the Village and thanked the community for their patience and understanding.
